I've always enjoyed good stories. I spent my summers reading as a child and always wanting to create new worlds and characters myself, but never had much success. When I went to college I majored in Social Science and found that while I had a difficult time creating fiction, I could weave different aspects of a story together and create a new way of viewing a known situation. So, instead of dreading my college papers, I loved researching and writing them.
Once I graduated college, though, I started teacher Emotionally Disturbed Special Education students and discovered a new love. I was often so exhausted from my day that I had no energy to write after work, but I would pepper my IEP reports with alliteration and other devices that nobody but me would ever notice. That's what I have been doing the last 12 years, but recently I rediscovered my love of writing for an audience larger than myself, which is when I joined Helium. Honing my writing skills here helps make me a better writing teacher for my students as well. So it's win-win-win.
There are many weight loss tools available, but some have serious drawbacks.
