About me - Sara Williams

About me

My name is Sara, and I am a 27 year old college student from Rochester, NY. I study History and Secondary Education, including Inclusive/Special Education. This state is very thorough (read: a pain in the butt) in its teacher training requirements! But, I'm almost done and will be student teaching in the fall.

What are my interests? Japanese language is one; I have studied for four semesters at college and continue to do self-study on and off, when I have the time. My dream is to spend a few weeks traveling around Japan one summer, once I start making a living income. I am childfree, thus have lots of time to get around to it. My childfree position was inspired by a childhood of being raised around my mother's daycare kids, though I don't hate children, so long as they don't scream and run and drip out of various oriffices, and they don't have to come home with me. Many of those reasons are also why I don't like a lot of college students, coincidentally. My passion is teaching, though. Don't ask; it's complicated.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

talking when I can, writing when I can't.

I know too much about ...

history, Japanese, getting into trouble, and kids.

My parents always told me ...

to stop bothering them.

My childhood ambition ...

was to do anything creative, from interior design to being a web developer.

My favorite memory ...

is that time I said, "Dude, that's the whitest guy I ever saw!" and totally got the guy to peel away in his car out of embarrasment.

Why I write ...

to exorcize my demons.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Ron White, "Behavioral Issues."

My first job ...

was at a McDonald's, if you don't count babysitting for my mom's daycare clients.

My best moment ...

Huh?

My inspiration ...

is Henry Rollins, whose spoken word bits make me realize that I'm not really that much of a freak, and I'm totally a freak, simultaneously.

Sure, your den/office/living room/etc. floor may be covered in crumpled up sheets of white paper, but doesn't it feel good to give bad ideas the "garbage" treatment? It's a sign that writing is happening! Okay, maybe not. Need some help? ...
