About me - Heather Cone

About me

I am a professional freelance writer. I mostly write content for the web although I have done some brochure writing. I love to write, becasue I love to learn. The research aspect of writing is what compels me and is the perfect forum for "a jack of all trades and a master of none".

My interests are also very diverse. Which I believe is part of what makes a good content writer. But my ultimate past time is anything related to fashion, followed closely by anything related to politics. While these may seem to be on two ends of the spectrum, they are in fact related. Human behavior en mass has always been a fascination of mine and where else can you find two areas so intertwined in group think?

The same age group that once protested the Vietnam War and marched for civil rights now sits comfortably in their homes and shrugs their shoulders with each political speech. This age group is typically America's idealist, the young who disrupt the status quo and demand change. It is not that these 18-24 year olds don't care; it's simply that the politics of today are not speaking to them. The main political concerns in each election are taxes, the economy ...
