About me - Ana O'Reilly

About me

I'm originally from Argentina, where I trained as an English-Spanish translator and taught Spanish and English as foreign languages.

Although I've always been interested in writing, I began to pursue this career seriously after I moved to Dallas, Texas, with my husband. I joined Helium in 2009 and have written 33 articles so far, mainly about Travel.

My article http://www.helium.com/items/1605901-old-montreal-walking-tour was published in The New York Daily News. I also belong to the Local Guides to Dallas and Texas writers' groups.

I am the sole contributor for Argentina on www.pocketcultures.com, where I write about different aspects of Argentinean culture.

I keep three travel-related blogs, two in English: www.myscrapbookmisapuntes.wordpress.com and www.foodtrailsandtales.wordpress.com and one in Spanish: www.apuntesideasimagenes.wordpress.com

I am interested in everything that is travel-related, literature, history and food (writing about, eating and cooking).

I follow my husband wherever his job takes him, which gives me the chance to know a place in depth. So far, we've lived in Buenos Aires, Dallas, Jersey - Channel Islands and Toronto.
