Hello. My name is Amela. I am a native of Tuzla, Bosnia. I am a young professional who completed my degree in the States in English language and came back to Bosnia to help make this country a better place.
I went to the States as an exchange high school student. I stayed with an American family and got myseful fully immersed into an American culture. After completing my hight school, college and post-graduate education in America, I returned back to Bosnia in order to reunite with my family.
Of course, I still miss the good old days in America, as that is where I spent the best days of my life, gained my first true friends, and formed my character and habits. I enjoyed the college life there and can never forget the kindness and warmth American people showed to me.
While in America I worked as a State Legislative Coordinator for Amnesty International, National Association of Social Workers, and American University in Washington, DC. Upon my return to Bosnia, I worked with non-profits, social work, and educational groups.
My passion is ...
reading, creative work, and writing
I know too much about ...
medicine and psychology
My parents always told me ...
happiness is in small things
My inspiration ...
my family, my friends, and my little niece
