I am a renaissance woman relative to my personal and professional interests. An only child, the importance of education was imparted at a young age; and I soon became an avid reader. Out closest neighbor was approximately one mile away, so the woods became my playground and my dog, Abe, my best playmate. It is fair to state I grew up with two loves: the outdoors and the world of books.
An alumni of the University of Pittsburgh, I earned a cum laude Bachelor of Arts in a double major of history and political science. Upon graduation, I accepted a position in the University's School of Medicine Admissions Office and set out to secure a Master's Degree in American History; primarily focused on Civil War America. Securing my Master's Degree in 1993, I relocated to the Tacoma Region of Washington and began working as a law firm temporary and, within two years began full time work in Physician Recruiting & Retention with the Northwest Division of Emergency Medicine giant, Team Health, a Company I recruited for til 2004 and the "birth" of MAB Recruiting & Consulting. At Team Health, I was a member of the National Recuiting Taskforce, Beta Tester for the development of the Compnany's national database and drafted several position papers under the direction of the Company's Chief Medical Officer.le.
I enjoyed a little over two summer breaks working as a Sports Writer - primarily covering Little League Baseball and Girl's VolleyBall Matches. My current loves, in addition to work, are my mother, and my two dogs - a 13 year old border collie/shepard who has more stories to be told than 5 "Marley's;" and finally a Newfoundland named Buford.
