About me

Writing has always been part of what I do.

My Bachelors Degree is in Religious Education and I love writing about the Lord of the Universe. For years I've been writing Sunday School material and looking for avenues publish all of these stories. I love to seek out the unusual and unique.

This characteristic falls into play is nearly every area of my life. The design style of my home is definetly elcletic and that tends to describe most of what I do.

Since my own children are grown and in the young adult stages of their lives I have more time to pursue writing as an actual freelance activity. My husband of 30 years and I are enjoying new activities and joy of watching our children achieve their own life goals. We are building an addition onto our small house that sits on the edge of a lovely lake in Northern Michigan. We want to be ready for company and love to entertain.

The addition has been built with "green" materials that we purchased from old houses that were being demolished. From our 1950's refinished carhart ceiling to the 1918 reclaimed clawfoot bathtub, we are seeking to DIY and keep our landfill a little less full. Currently, we (and I use that term loosely) are building an incredible, 14 foot high stone fireplace from actual rocks that have been dug up from a farmers field.

All these experiences have made me a story teller and I hope to share many of them with you through this writing venue.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

sharing what Jesus has done for my life.

I know too much about ...

not taking risks or stepping out in faith.

My parents always told me ...

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!"

My childhood ambition ...

was to be a missionary.

My favorite memory ...

is my daughter Samantha's wedding.

Why I write ...

I think it is so much fun. Crafting words is like painting a picture.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I love reading historical fiction and right now the book of Deuteronomy which is very historical in itself.

My first job ...

was traveling with a Puppet ministry team to church camps all summer. It was the best.

My best moment ...

When I realized that Jesus was the only begotten Son of God..

My inspiration ...

My husband Scott, he can do anything and if he can't ... nobody would ever know.
