A new writer to Helium, I am finding it completely addictive and loving every minute of it. Have travelled extensively with my husband Dave for the past 10 years, I have had the goal of becoming a full time travel writer for a long time.
Helium is giving me the confidence that I need to pursue my writing to the fullest and I look forward to seeing how it will progress in the future. I am still trying to navigate my way around the online community, but my goal is to make writing my main source of income in the near future.
My writing has been published in a 4 part series for the Toronto Star and through my travels I have made guest appearances on several television shows with my husband Dave.
My website theplanetd.com has commanded a large viewership following our adventures and I have a travel adventure series in the works with CS Productions.
My goal is to teach the world about other ways of life and to raise awareness of social issues that different communities face each day.
While the list of adventures can go on and on, I feel that I have only scratched the surface of what this world has to offer.
In 2010, I will be travelling again with Dave, this time through Central Asia and I am hoping that the skill and exposure that I receive here on Helium, will help me to sell my articles of my travels throughout the duration of that journey.

I had read that Cape Town is the most beautiful city in the world and now I see why. It is stunning. Over 1000 meters high, Table Mountain towers over the beautiful colonial buildings.
