I was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the age of 18 on completing high school I to travel a bit. I joined a group of other young people and volunteered on a kibbutz in Israel.
Life is what life is, and the time spent there changed my life forever. I loved Israel and also fell in love with one of the other volunteers, from England. Two years after the first visit we were married, moved to Israel and created our lives here.
In 1983 when our children were still young but old enough not to need their mother on an all time basis, I became a tour guide for incoming tourists to Israel. Guides are not just guides, but also nurses, babysitters, psychologists and much more.
All this gave me a deep perspective and understanding of the human nature.
At the time of choosing studies it was a toss up between guiding and
psychology. The choice fell for guiding as it involved history, another
subject I have always loved. But human nature stayed important for me.
Around the same time I also began my involvement with awareness seminars
and personal development, personal growth. I had finally realized that we don't have to stay the way we are, which is a result of our education, our environment and much else; that we can become whatever we choose to be.
For the last 25 years I have been involved in this field, while working as a guide. I have studied with several mentors, continue to do so and will continue till the day there is no more to learn (that day will never come).
I am today a mentor and coach for personal growth and empowerment, helping others to achieve their goals and reach the success they desire and deserve through http://www.lessonsoflifecoaching.com.
I co-host http://www.OurLighthouseCafe.com/blog with Jeff Mossler, a blog, social networking and on-line mentoring meeting place. Please remember to bring your own coffee or whatever you like to drink.
