Well, as can be seen by my predominant writing subject, I am of course a role-player. Specifically, Dungeons and Dragons. I have played D&D since the tender age of 7 years old and I credit the game with enhancing intelligence, writing ability, intuitiveness, creativity and of course vocabulary and even some mathematical skills.
In addition to being a player of D&D, I am also a Dungeon Master, with a herald level sanctioned rank in the RPGA(Role-Playing Gamers' Association) and a Gateway level organizer for events involving games produced, licensed, or sanctioned through Wizards of the Coast, the current owner of the D&D franchise. I run 2 weekly sanctioned and RPGA reported D&D games currently and play in a third. In the near future, I anticipate taking over running that third game as well. I play the current version of the game and although I will not say it is D&D like previous versions, it is a fully playable game of a tactical strategy variety. I have played every version of D&D that has come out, and I've also played numerous other games in the RPG genre of play, both tabletop and computer based, single player and massive multiplayer. I am comfortable running a game with upto 20 players at a table without too much difficulty although typically I run no more than 10 at a time in current games.
I have held various different jobs in my 38 years of life, from Telephone Tech Support of computers to Teacher (Dance, Computers, Literacy to illiterate adults, cooking, etc...) to being a Carnival worker, a clown, a magician, a hotel desk clerk, a chef, a telemarketer(don't hate me for that) a Commercial Truck Driver, a Lifeguard, and various other sundry positions.
My motto is: Any day you don't learn something new is a wasted day. I fully believe in this, just as I fully realize that I have wasted a few days in my life, but it is balanced out with the variety of skills and knowledge that I have acquired in those not so wasted days. I believe anyone can sing, draw, use a computer, dance, it just is a matter of putting it before them in a way that they understand. Choose the right song, the right dance, the right venue for creation, and then let them go. Encourage, neverr discourage those around you, and you'll be amazed at how they come out.
Hobbies I participate in other than Roleplaying games include: Reading, Gourmet Cooking, Dance, Karaoke, Harmonica, Keyboard, Computers(All things computers), writing, drawing, painting, crochet(although way out of practice), archery, medieval recreation (SCA, Renne Faires), kids crafts, collectable card games, console games, board games, weapons(medieval, not guns), martial arts, swimming, and even more I'm sure I'm not thinking of right now.
In short, I'm an ecclectic individual with both opinions and foibles, can be charming or irritating, helpful or sarcastic, but overall, I'm uniquely me and that's the best way to describe it.

With the recent announcement by Wizards of the Coast of the start of development in the 5th edition of the popular Dungeons & Dragons franchise, the question is begged to be asked, "What do you want to see in the new 5e?" Personally, having been a player and Dungeon Master of the game since the age of 7, this is an important concern. The fact that the designers themselves are actually actively seeking the input of players and groups who play is a promising start to a new edition. Also promising is the fact that they are planning the development into at least 2013, before shelving the c...
