About me - Alice Shoaf

About me

I am currently a staff writer for a local community newspaper, concentrating mostly on school and local sports. They now have a web presence that I contribute to, found at www.copanews.com. I have extensive experience with children and teens, working in the educational, sports, and community club arenas for over thirty years. Research is another field in which I have experience, and one that I cultivate.

On a personal level I enjoy creative writing, and have several short stories and poems published online at https://www.triond.com/users/maranatha. I write under the pen name "maranatha" there, which means "He has come, He is come, He will come again". Much of my work there is faith based or inspirational in nature. Someday I hope to collect them into a published book.
