In 1960, a brown parcel arrived at our house addressed to my 13 year old sister. No-one in the family, apart from my sister, knew what it contained. We sat watching at the living room table as she opened it, bursting with curiosity. It contained an official letter from the Elvis Presley fan club stating that, my sister was now a fully paid-up member of the Elvis Presley Fan Club. It contained all the photographs, posters and other paraphernalia associated with Elvis Presley. That was my first introduction to Elvis. A few days later, my sister arrived home with my dad after a shopping trip....
