India and Pakistan...well, its been going on for more than 60 years now. Pakistan was created (of course due to British politics) for protection of Muslims (minority in undivided India). The objective of the British was probably to get back at Gandhi, to whom they were compelled to succumb, and thereby relinquish their crown. What they effectively did was try and create a hate divide between Hindus and Muslims, so that they finish off each other - so that if not the Brits, then noone else either !
