I am Italian, from Rome, and I have been in the U.S. since 1999, where I first worked as a consultant. But after several years of successful 9-5 job, I decided to go back to an old and neglected love of mine: writing. Now I work as a freelance translator and writer, and I love to share my passion for the culture, the food and the traditions of my beautiful country, so you might find around recipes, stories and little bites of popular Italian culture with my name on it.
My formal education in Italy includes classic studies and humanities (Liceo Classico G. Lucilio di Roma), architecture (Universita` La Sapienza di Roma), and chef training (J&W University of Culinary Art of Miami).
My passion is ...
Writing, cooking and walking on the streets of Rome
I know too much about ...
Rome, Italy, the people, the places, colors and stories
My parents always told me ...
"Mangia, mangia!"
My childhood ambition ...
To build a big shelter for all the stray cats and dogs of Rome
My favorite memory ...
An early summer evening in Rome, swallows diving in the sunset light, the smell of my mother's jasmine plants
Why I write ...
Because with what I write I can branch into someone else's life and influence it a bit
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Piero Chiara/Old movies with Bogart&Bacall/Good old radio
My first job ...
Swimming class instructor in a summer camp on the Dolomites
My best moment ...
When I found myself again...
My inspiration ...
To be happy by making other people happy with what I write

Our place also had enough space ...
