I am a sophomore in high school and I hope to be, one day, a porfessional sports writer. I do not always use correct punctuation and grammar but that's becuase my English class always puts me to sleep - I have to change that quickly.
My goal in sports writing is to give readers somthing to remeber or ponder about. A sports article can be written by anyone, but a great sports read is hard to come across. No need to fear, I hope to become the one sports writer who can inform readers and not just manage to reiterate commonly found statistics and analyses.
I do not use a great variety of vocabulary in my everyday language, but I try to spice up my article with a few interesting words. That is my mind set whenever I write an article or short blog.
A little background information:
I was exposed to this site by users from fannation.com, a sports website linked to sportsillustrated.com. I am pretty smart when it comes to analyzing sports and I have a 31-5-2 debate record on fannation.com in sports debates called throwdowns. I am in no way trying to urge anyone to join the website but I am just giving my readers background information about where I come from.
As far as playing sports go... I am small for my age but I only have four more inches to grow standing at 5-5. My basketball skills are very limited but I am pretty good at football as long as I am not playing tackle football - I loved to play but my small frame would get destroyed by most high schoolers.
If there are any mistakes or concepts that could improve my writing (in my articles) please email me at:

Ten seasons, however, was enough for the 5-8 running back to solidify his professional football career as the greatest of all time - even greater than the prestigious careers of Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and Jim Brown. Eluding the NFL's most physical players at every defensive position, Sanders collected each of his 15,269 yards in the greatest fashion possible for an NFL running back to do so. The statistical measures often bore readers and learn...
