I am a freelance writer based in Charlotte, N.C. I've written for newspapers in North Carolina and New York, and taught English, journalism and writing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for five years. I also have contributed to and edited several books about churches and ministry. My interests are wide, as currently I write about everything from local government to parenting.

My areas of expertise include religion and faith, eduction, parenting, transportation, fitness, nutrition, lifestyle and celebrity, finance and the environment.

When I'm not writing, I like to run, cook and listen to music.
