Hi! I am a 23 year old stay at home mom of two wonderful kids, ages three and five. My son is autistic, so I'm also his full time therapy coordinator! I am a full time college student, going for a degree in Special Education. All of this makes for a very hectic life, but somehow I manage to fit in riding my horse, and writing for pleasure and for school. I have always loved writing, and also enjoy reading historical fiction. My favorite author would have to be Phillipa Gregory.
I'm just getting started here at Helium, but I've found it to be a really fun experience and I love getting my writing "out there." Hope to meet lots of other writers and make some new friends.
Food for Thought, Courtesy of the Food Court As a mother of a severely autistic child, I tend to look at situations in public places with a little more depth than the average person might. For example, if I see a child screaming and flailing on the grocery store floor, my mind immediately jumps to the possibility that the child might have a developmental disability of some kind, rather than thinking "wow, what a spoiled brat that child is!
