I was once an insurance professional; but during the final years of my lengthy career I lived a double life: insurance claims professional by day, artsy crafter by night. That was a long time ago. Eventually my artsy/craftsy side took over. I went on to create jewelry and teach jewelry making skills in classrooms, workshops and through online articles. Now I am proud to continue sharing my love of the art and craft of jewelry making as a Helium Beading & Jewelry Making Channel Manager.
I live a creative life now, but I also have a well rounded insurance claim background. For 20 years, I worked in a series of claims positions, investigating claims from the desk and on the road. I have experience with personal insurance, including automobile first and third party claims as well as property and casualty claims.
I gained most of my experience in Commercial insurance claims. I supervised Commercial insurance liability and litigation units in Ohio and Pennsylvania. I investigated first and third party insurance claims, wrongful death, product liability, chemical cases, hazardous and toxic waste cases, premises liability, bond, employee dishonesty and others. I supervised and trained employees to investigate, evaluate, coordinate litigation and settle these cases as well.
When I walked away from corporate America it was into a life of crafty diversity. I made jewelry, decorated wedding cakes, painted tees and arranged flowers. Eventually I gave up all of my crafty pursuits to hone my jewelry artisan skills. I developed my own wire and metal work techniques and won awards at art shows.
My greatest creative accomplishment was 10 years of building the jewelry making program, teaching skills and developing a Crafts Business curriculum at Sarah Center, a Cincinnati inner city women's ministry. The women's dedication to jewelry making earned a "Best of Cincinnati Award." Their work was highlighted in the Cincinnati Enquirer and on several local television and radio programs. Sarah Center jewelry is featured at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Gift Shop and many other Cincinnati locations.
I love making jewelry, but these days I spend a lot of time writing about the jewelry making process and sharing through my online article

“The Good Wife” is a dramatization of the life of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies). She's the wife behind fictional public figure, Peter Florrick (Chris Noth). The first episode in the series revealed the political scandal that changed her life. Like similar real life dramas, Peter confessed openly at a press conference. He acknowledged some wrongdoings and clandestine affairs with prostitutes; and Alicia stood by his side, although she wasn't very happy happy about it.
