: About Me

I am a Choral Conductor, private voice and piano instructor, specializing in children's music. I have my Bachelors of Music in Sacred Music, voice emphasis, from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

I have been on the artistic staff of the Hamilton Children's Choir for eight years, taught with a local School of Music until it's closure in 2005 and occasionally take on private students when I can fit them into my schedule.

I've been married for 12 years to an audio engineer named James. We have four children: Jairus, Honour, Verity and Afton. Hayden Jack is with the Lord.

Jairus was born with Pierre Robin Sequence, a somewhat rare birth defect (1 in 8-10 000 babies) involving a cleft palate and underdeveloped jaw. His challenges have taught me more about myself, God and life than I ever dreamed.

In my spare time, I homeschool my children, co-direct the children's program at my church, conduct a homeschooling choir of 20 children and scan the internet for budget saving tips. I'm currently attempting to live without Facebook.
