Shipwrecked. That blood is thicker than water Has never held meaning for me Those family ties that I hear of Just a breeze passing high through the trees Once grand and majestic this vessel Now broken and rotting on shore My friends could just watch as I wrestled The waves as they toyed with my oar Does this pain count its origins elsewhere? Is its genesis beneath my skin? What can a man find more challenging Than searching his soul deep within?
