: About Me

Hey everyone, my name is Christina, but most people call me either Chrissy or Chris for short. I am a twenty-six year old mother of an eight year old daughter and I have two associates' degrees, one in Criminal Justice and the other in Paralegal with my background including various legal secretary and paralegal work. I decided to continue my education to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Social Science because I really did not enjoy working in law firms.

But I love writing. Writing is like a therapy for me!

I have had an article and a poem published in Shadows & Light magazine and another poem is scheduled to be published in the October issue and I recently published my debut novelette Saving Rose. You can see an excerpt of it under Novel excerpts, God's Love.

I'm very spiritual and huge aspect of my life is my faith in Jesus Christ. I strayed away from my faith for a very long time. I fell into some bad patterns and suffered a mild depression among other things, because of some of the bad choices I made. Then at my lowest point my faith and the unconditional love of Jesus Christ pulled me through and changed me so much for the better. I plan to continue on growing stronger in my faith on this spiritual journey I have embarked on. Now this does not mean I am perfect. I still make mistakes. I am praying and letting God guide me.

I must admit that I'm probably not your typical Christian and I'm probably more spiritual. But all in all I Am That I Am, and I'm happy with myself. I'm still learning, but I am a whole and complete individual who is overall very happy with life!

I have been battling demons within myself since I was about 11 years old! When I was a child, I suffered from childhood obesity. I hated that I was called fat. I also hated watching TV and seeing all the thin actresses and singers because it was not me! I decided I needed to do something. I started to exercise.
