: About Me

I've wanted to write since childhood; if someone were to compile all the ramblings I've put on paper, several volumes of something could be produced. I have a degree in journalism from Oregon State, but spent most of my life in public relations, where I witnessed a murder at a health fair I managed, talked to the press after a friend was murdered by a workplace colleague and carried Dr. Joyce Brothers' mink coat when she spoke at an event I was involved in directing.

I'm a public relations consultant now, but I'm spending more and more hours writing what I want.

My passion is ...

Reading, writing, doing anything at the coast, taking photos with my skewed view.

I know too much about ...

Everything. I have ADD.

My parents always told me ...

To change the oil in my car regularly.

My childhood ambition ...

Grow up, write books. Or become an astronaut. But I was bad at science.

My favorite memory ...

Seeing the Pacific Coast for the first time.

Why I write ...

So my family and friends will get relief from my constant yakking.

A jazz CD by Wayman Tisdale, a former NBA player who died recently at 44.

Picking strawberries; wondering how the berries got in my underwear.

Graduating from Oregon State at the same moment the Portland Trail Blazers won their one and only NBA championship.

My inspiration ...

Other than family and friends, anyone who achieves a dream despite the odds.
