When I was five I "published" a book of poetry, including one poem in which I stated that I wanted to be an author.
Since then, I've dabbled in mortgage lending, political activism, party planning and catering, improvisational theatre and freelance writing, sometimes for money, sometimes for love, and usually for some combination of the two.
At the moment, I freelance for a living, and serve as the managing editor of the ezine All Things Girl for love. I'm also a voice actress, primarily in internet audio dramas (podcast dramas or "podio dramas"), a religious education teacher, and a dog lover.
I like strong coffee, red wine, dark chocolate, and violent storms.
I hate bok choy.
I have blue hair and brown eyes, and leave near Dallas, TX with one husband, two DVRs, three dogs, and more computers and books than I care to count.
My passion is ...
finding a way to incorporate "yes and" into daily life.
I know too much about ...
coffee.
My parents always told me ...
to be myself.
My childhood ambition ...
to be an author.
My favorite memory ...
baking bread with my grandfather.
Why I write ...
to keep from going insane from all the stories in my head.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
"Big Love," is my guilty pleasure, and lately I've been in a folk music sort of mood.
My first job ...
pricing wooden spoons in my mother's store.
My best moment ...
anytime I make someone laugh.
My inspiration ...
I'm inspired by something new every day, but rain is a constant.
