About me - L.C.

About me

I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and while I just recently managed to write my first chapter-length novel, I'm not quite ready to publish it just yet. I've still got a long way to go when it comes to writing, but that's what I love about it.

I practice a mixture of Buddhism and Taoism, and I take my faith very seriously. I love learning about different religions, cultures and people, and broadening my horizons. Given this, I would love to travel in the future. I especially have a love for the Japanese culture, and I'm currently learning to speak Japanese. I can also speak fluently in French, and I'm fully bilingual.

I work for a small editing company, and I also am a freelance editor and writer on the side. Apart from writing, I love watching my favourite anime shows, such as Prince of Tennis, Gravitation, Beyblade, Death Note and Loveless, as well as reading anything I can get my hands on. I also have a huge love for all animals, especially cats, and I spend my days off volunteering at the local Humane Society. My other interests involve tennis, studying philosophy, history and psychology, and spending time just meditating or working out.

Several simple examples illustrate this. Less than fifty years ago, in most societies it was unheard of for a woman and man to live together before marriage. This would have been seen as scandalous and highly immoral. However, in modern Western ...
