I began publishing my articles on Helium in March 2009. I find the web site very interesting and enjoy contributing to it. The best thing about Helium is that everyone is welcome to participate and that you never run out of ideas what to write about.
On a personal side, I was born and raised in Poland. I graduated from the University of Warsaw, Poland - one of the oldest universities in Europe - with a Master's degree in Economics. I am proud to belong to the generation of Poles that is currently contributing to the economic growth in Poland (one of the highest in Europe).
I came to the US (legally) about fifteen years ago and became the US citizen in 2004. After holding a couple of different jobs, I decided it was more worthwhile to stay home to raise my children instead of pursuing a career. I never regretted that decision. However, my personal growth is very important to me and I never stop pursuing new interests. Writing is one of them, plus I get to make some money by doing it.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate all comments and want to especially thank those who take their time to let me know about any mistakes I made in my articles.

For these and other reasons, Sheltie ranks 18th as the most popular breed in America (According to the American Kennel Club). It is estimated that there are at least 42 thousand dogs of this breed in the US. High demand for Shelties encourages some irresponsible breeders to produce more puppies for sale and, potentially, to increase the odds of spreading inheritable diseases.
