I am a freelance writer and artist living in New Orleans, Louisiana in the Southern United States. I began writing early on and was the features editor of my high school newspaper. I have written a number of print articles for local and regional publications including Offbeat, Gulf Coast Arts Review, Shot In LA, Jazz South, Data Newsweekly, New Orleans Style and The Louisiana Weekly.
Until recently I was teaching enrichment classes part time at a local charter school. As that job came to an end I became a member of the Board of Managers for YES!, the YMCA's Educational Services. I recently started my first-ever almost full-time day job as a receptionist and I have been a docent at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art for the past four years.
I am the organizer of my local wine meetup and one of the organizers of Women and Wine on Wednesdays New Orleans, a monthly networking event.
