I am trapped by me heart in New England.

Home to me is Florida. Even though I was born and raised here in New England I find the cold weather amongst other things to be intolerable.

But hey life happens and I have learned that the most uncomfotable seemingly intoerable things that I have expereinced, some how, some way have always made me a better person.

Writing is just something I do. Whether its a word, a sentence, a paragraph or pages. I have always considered my writing to be personal. My entire life my mom has urged me to write professionally. "You should be a journalist." was a phrase often repeated to me. Truth be told. I am not sure why she feels so strongly about this. Most of what I have written has not been seen never mind read by others.

I found Helium quite by accident a couple weeks ago. Ironically I had just returned from a visit with my mom who more than any other time in my life, repeated herself about me writing professionally. I thought to myself, maybe I could write one of two things and get an unbiased opinion and get my mom of my back once and for all.

Guess what? My mom was right. To an extent. No I am not going to become a journalist. But writing here on Helium is proving to be a rewarding experience for me. Thanks for your urging mom.
