I am just now renewing my love of writing. As a youth I wrote many short stories and poetry that won awards in school.
Now, married with three children and living in very rural america, I have the time and atmosphere needed to let the stories in my mind come alive. My faith, family and friends are what keep my spirits high. I believe laughter is the best medicine and with my three children, there is always a laugh around here.
Living with a chronic illness has humbled me as a person and lets me feel much more empathy for people. Writing is the one thing I can still do. It is one of my many distraction therapies used to cope with chronic illness.
I am a country girl at heart, so our small farm fits our lifestyle. My passions include all the animals we have, gardening and recently quilting. I have a love of antiques and have been known to spend countless hours researching where and how a certain piece came into existence.

She turned five in February. I have never been one to rush and buy anything for my children unless they relentlessly keep on it for weeks. Money is too tight to buy them something that was neat this morning but will be tossed to the curb by nightfall. For months now, my youngest has asked for a doll house. She has yet to get it.
