She obtained her Bachelors of Arts in English Literature and Language in 1997, from the University of South Carolina. Her work has appeared in "Trifter," "HealthMad" and "EKG Literary Magazine." Briefly me

My passion is ...

reading and writing. These activities are always part of my life.

I know too much about ...

heartache, but that is just fine. It gives my writing character, and a meaningful personality.

My parents always told me ...

to always be prepared, because you never know...

My childhood ambition ...

was to work with books, whether reading and reviewing them, or owning a book store.

My favorite memory ...

is singing with the All-State Women's Choir in high school!

Why I write ...

...because I need to. 'Nuff said.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

depends on the situation and my mood. If I want to escape I read about Merlin the Magician. If I want to feel empowered I read about strong women who overcame their personal odds. It just depends.

My first job ...

was at a Bojangles Restaurant, where the first day, I dressed up and played the local college mascot on my first day.

My best moment ...

can't be narrowed down to one time in my life.

My inspiration ...

is life, in general.

The sky was perpetually night, but the people knew how to make light for dail...
