Donald Frank Cheadle was born on November 29, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri. He began his acting career in 1987 in Hamburger Hill. He has continued to act and in 2005, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda. He als starred in and helped produce Crash which won the 2005 Academy Award for Best Picture. In addition to his pursuits in movies and behind the camera, Cheadle has appeared in NFL commercials and has played in the 2007 World Series of Poker.
