About me - Kara Cain

About me

I am a college sophomore majoring in English with a journalism emphasis. I don't post on here as often as I used to because it doesn't seem like I have time to think anymore. I am a writer, heart and soul. I want to write for a living. I don't want my love of words and language to be filed away into the "Things I Did When I Was Young" box. I am truly different, but I like it. I'm a patchwork alien enthralled by her new planet, an eclectic mix of otherworldly thoughts. I also like squirrels.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

writing, among other things. Especially when the Muse calls.

I know too much about ...

really wierd things...like serial killers and sex in the animal world.

My parents always told me ...

that I was wierd

My childhood ambition ...

was to be a veterinarian/bacteriologist

My favorite memory ...

is buried underneath sleep deprivation and epistemological essays at the time of this writing

Why I write ...

the same reasons why I eat, drink, and breathe

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am reading my philosophy textbook with some Keats and Dante on the side, watching SpongeBob as always, and listening to symphonic metal turn music to to nonverbal poetry

My first job ...

was cleaning machine parts

My best moment ...

is when people need me

My inspiration ...

is that moment where you're tired enough to get pissed off by all the various irritations in life, but just sleep-deprived enough to think leaving your all-important flash drive at home is hilarious

Marriage exists in non-Christian cultures, but it seems to be the Christian tradition that governs marriage here in the U.S. Heterosexual couples aren't the only ones who fall into this category.
