: About Me

My name is Tim Lim. I'm an 20 year old college student. My parents are Korean, but I was born in the States along with my two siblings. When i was about four years old, we moved to China and have been living here for the past twelve years of my life. During those twelve years, I've lived in Tian Jin, Beijing, and now currently Kunming. Whenever we go back to the states for the summer or whenever, we go back to California where most of my relatives live. I am currently a student at Calvin College in Grand Rapids Michigan. I'm a follower of Christ, who's aspiring to become one utilizing the arts (performance, writing, and film) to make a difference in the world.

I do not have a preference of what topic or genre to write about. As long as it's a topic or a story that interests me, I'll go for it.

was to publish a NYT Bestseller book, star in a movie, and record my own album.

Why I write ...

I write because it is a way of expressing myself effectively. It also allows me to funnel out all of the many thoughts that go through my head each moment of every day. Besides...it's so incredibly fun!

The knife feels so cold Will anyone notice if I do this? I feel so numb Will anyone miss me?  The pills seem to be working Who will come to my funeral? There goes my last tear What was my life worth?  I thought this would hurt more than it did What did my life add up to be?  Wow it's a lot of blood Will I go to hell for this? I feel so weak Where's the white light?  The floor feels so good against my cheek How many breaths do I have left?  One...Two...Three...Four... There's a banging on the door Five...Six...Seven...Eight... This seems so right Nine...Ten...Eleven...
