I am a 40-something mother of three teenagers, married 21 years to my best friend. My B.A. is in Healthcare Management and Education but the years since then have gathered eclectic!
Respiratory Therapy was my first 'career,' followed by homeschooling, hospice volunteering, office work, and LOTS of fine arts support/educational advocacy.
My outlets are swimming, biking, running, reading, and of course, writing. I've always 'putzed' with writing, but hope to make it less haphazard, now that the kids are getting older. Over the years, I've enjoyed editing, proofing, and consulting for business documents, high school scholarship applications, general school essays, and some copywriting and course content development. All freelance.
Today, I am working on my technical writing skills by writing a grant for a nursing program through a course at our local junior college, and focused on building my portfolio with a more meaningful, linear approach.
