I live in a small community in East Texas known as Ace. My husband, James, is a truck driver by trade, when he is driving that is, but his dream is to be a chef. We have one daughter, Jamie.
I have wanted to be a writer for several years, but have never had any stories published. I have had a poem published in a book of poems. And, yes, I do have a copy of that book.
I would have to say that my favorite authors are mystery writers. I like the "whodunit" kind of mystery, because I find that it's a challenge to figure out who the culprit is. I also like to read Christian books that will help me in my daily walk with Christ. My very favorite book? Why, my Bible of course. It's my roadmap in life. It's not just a book, but my life!

It was on a Monday afternoon that I went into labor with my daughter. She was due to be born on the ninth of September. I remember that the first pain hit me right in my stomach and quickly went to my back. There it stayed the rest of the time I was in labor. I was having contractions every few minutes. Hard contractions. It kept up all afternoon. I ended up in the emergency room in the middle of the night, where, once I got there and they hooked me up to the baby monitor, my contractions promptly stopped!
