I moved to my current home in Brighton, Colorado on October 23rd, 2008. Up 'til then, I lived in downtown Denver for just over 10 years. I moved mainly for physical reasons. I liked my place downtown, for the most part, but things needed to change.
Because of my health, I had gotten to a point where I needed a bigger space, particularly bathroom, so my parents renovated their basement and I left my bachelor pad behind. Life at 38 with the folks ain't easy but... y'know...
I've had many jobs in the last 20+ years - From booking local bands to washing dishes. I'm not sure which I made less at. Now, after previous attempts (years ago) at being a freelance writer, I'm trying it again with Helium.

The late great comedian/social commentator Bill Hicks referred to Television as "Lucifer's Dream Box." I'm certainly not against TV but the older I get (I'm 38 going on 90), the less I like to watch it. There's just not a lot on there that peaks my interest. Sure, "The Simpsons" and "South Park" are still gettin' it done, but they've been on the 'ol tube for years. Shows like "M*A*S*H," "Married ...With Children" and "Cheers" are now just re-runs. So, what could possibly be the best current television series? In November 2008, VH1 Classic debuted a new se...
