I am 60 years old but going on 25 years in outlook and was born and lived in the United Kingdom most of my life until I met my second husband John. Since then we lived and worked on the Costa del Sol Spain running 3 successful bars until John was head hunted by the Americans back working in the oil industry. He was offered an assignment in the Yemen which he grabbed with both hands (money was a darn sight better than running a bar in Spain!) and once I had sold the bar I also joined him. Unfortunately due to the terrible and never forgotten day 9/11 things got pretty uncomfortable in the Yemen especially for wives and I was told to come home. John stayed out there for a further 6 months but then finished the contract and we tried to retire gracefully in the UK. However Spain beckoned again and so we returned to Spain in January 2006 living in Fuengirola in Southern Spain. In March 2010 however we returned again to the UK permanently to be near family. I now work part-time in a ladies fashion store and John works part-time as crew on a large pleasure boat plying up and down the river.
Before meeting John I have had numerous jobs including Marketing Officer for a pleasure boat company and for a wildlife park in Devon UK but was trained since school in law and was a para-legal in various law firms in the UK.
I have always been very interested in writing but so far have only had two short stories published, both for competitions in local newspapers, one in Devon and one in Spain. Whilst in Spain I had more time on my hands to be able to sit quietly by the sea and just let my pen do the talking but since moving back to the UK I have been too busy but at long last now that we are completely established I shall again have more time to devote to the writing I enjoy. I have numerous ideas in my head but this site is a fantastic help to give me the boost I need to actually try and finish something as at the moment I have many articles and books half written all over the house.

Hotel rooms are going to be at a premium during the Royal wedding. Even at the best of times London is busy at this time of the year with schools on holiday and Easter but there can still be the odd bargain the traveller can find if they know where to go. Obviously the main search would be through the internet at one of the web sites dealing with hotel accommodation. Searches such as laterooms.com or expedia is a good start who also give you excellent information about the hotel itself, how far it is from "the action" and recommendations from previous customers.&nbs...
