I am forty-two years old and work in the government sector (in education to be precise). I returned to school to pursue a double degree in anthropology and religion.
I have an AA degree in General Studies and anticipate completing my Bachelor's in the next few years. I have chosen my majors however; I like mathematics, physics, and literature and expect to have some sort of degree in these areas at some point as well. I enjoy writing about the theories of Einstein, Newton as well as Maxwell and Heisenberg. Recently, I have become fascinated with the anthropological and philosophical studies of religion and its origins. This is not from a hermeneutic (theological) point of view but rather a scientific and behavioral perspective.
I also enjoy writing poetry and creative writing and have several favorite authors both classical and modern writing, individuals such as Robert Ludlum, James Michener, Mark Twain, and John Steinbeck. My interests also include the philosophical works of Nietzsche, Plato, Plutarch, Kant, Descartes, Socrates, Locke, and Hume.
I am interested in improving my writing by endeavoring to write on both subjects in which I am informed as well as those in which I have lots to learn.
