I am a father of five and husband to one. I am a plumber and have worked in construction all my life. I enjoy reading. Our family loves to go camping and the beach. I have been married to my wife Susan for nearly 30 years. I am most proud of being a father to our children, it has been a very rewarding experiance and gives meaning to my life.
I enjoy theology,history, poetry, philosophy, politics and music. Some of my favorite books have been, Bury my heart at wounded knee, Parting the waters, Wealth and democracy, The seven story mountain, Siddartha, Of mice and men. I dig Dvorak, David bowie, Green day, and Willie Nelson.
I have served in local government as an elected council member for eight years. In that capacity I was able to serve as the state president of The Latino Elected Officals of the League Of California Cities. I also served on commisons as diverse as housing and community development, School construction and mitigation fees, At risk youth diverson and job trainning, and the redevelopment of Disposed Air Force Base property.
I am more of a verbal communicator, but have enjoyed the written word all my life. I have Joined the helium family at the urging of a good friend that has encouraged me to develop my "talent". I am a little aprehensive as I lumber through this artistic endevor with all the grace of a rhinocerous.
