I'm a 35-year-old, single mother with a beautiful school age boy who lights up my life. My education exists of a BA in Writing and English and a few Master's courses in Psychology. I currently work as a Discharge Planner Coordinator at a local hospital where I link patients with nursing home facilities and medical equipment at discharge.

I love to write and use my creative knowledge and feel I am very experienced in parenting (especially single parenting) and relationship issues. Reading and sharing ideas is what makes me most happy, and I am always open to constructive criticism so I can better myself as a writer. I love to learn from others who can offer great ideas that I may not have considered before.

I'm starting to find my niche in life and feel like I'm just within reach of achieving most of my goals. The most important thing in the world to me is to show my son that he can be anything he chooses to be if he just keeps an open mind and a passionate heart. Dreaming is not a silly fantasy, it's a door that links you to your accomplishments.

I began Helium uncertain of the future, but the more I write, the more I am learning about this fabulous freelance world.  There is so much to do there that can enhance anyone's writing skills and helps us all be creative.  I love criticism that is helpful, so please feel free to offer your comments and assistance as you see fit.  My purpose is to be a better writer and to someday write children's books for my son to share with his children.

I'm so blessed to get to know you all and look forward to writing my heart out on Helium.

As an update (1/5/2010)...I recently found out that I'm going to have another beautiful baby!  I'm so excited and can't wait to meet this amazing little person.
