Hospitality House provides affordable, clean lodging for families visiting loved ones at Menard Correctional Center and Chester Mental Health. The house at 120 Ferry Street in Chester, Illinois, overlooking the Mississippi River, was purchased in 1985 and has been maintained and paid for entirely by contributions of money, goods and services from groups and individuals.

The HH mission is to the families suffering the hardship of incarceration. HH works to help the family survive the incarceration of a member by providing a place to stay when they visit. Also, families suffering the same hardship meet others going through the same thing at the house and gain strength to endure by knowing they are not alone and by meeting others who understand their difficulties.
