A Sonnet to My Happily Ever After

Within the tales of once upon a time,
Exists a wonder rarely we do see.
A sensation held to be so sublime,
Some say it is naught but a fantasy.
A gorgeous princess and her dashing prince,
A helpless damsel and her shining knight;
From the beginning, and then ever since,
Their love holds steadfast: absolute and bright.
But what we share seems to be stronger still
Than the perfect love of a fairy tale.
More wholesome, genuine and full of thrill,
That we make the fantasy love look frail.
And ever after, happy shall we be.
And after ever, still ...
