The movie "300" does have a message, but that message is not a negative one as so many people seem to believe. The real message in the film "300" is about overcoming adversity, and standing up to tyranny. It loudly supports those who believe that it is better to die standing, than live kneeling. In some ways the unwillingness of the Spartans to surrender to the larger, more dominating Persian force reminded me of the old World War 2 film, "Battle of the Bulge."
