My name is Jeff Mount, I am a certified USGTF Golf Teaching Professional working at King City Golf Course in Tigard, Oregon (a suburb of Portland).
I've lived in the Northwest for the majority of my life and I love it. Being close to the beach, the mountains, and all the great golf courses Oregon has to offer is ideal for my lifestyle. Many folks wouldn't want to live here because of the wet weather, but most of us Oregonians appreciate the rain because it keeps everything green and fresh.
After seven years working in the Accounting profession, I bailed on the cubicle and decided to do something I love. I've been teaching golf lessons since 2008; I really enjoy helping people with their games as well as writing about it.
I also try and play a lot of golf, but I don't aspire to play professionally and I put time with my family first. Fortunately my son is really starting to enjoy the game so he and I get out and play frequently. Now, if I can just get my wife out there!
In addition to writing about golf, I also enjoy writing short stories and articles about other various subjects. I hope to compile all my golf instruction articles and get a book published.
Please feel free to contact me anytime; be it Helium related, golf related, or just to say hello!

Call it a sport, call it a game, call it a hobby; whatever you call it, Golf is the best game ever invented. Here's why: No two golf shots are ever exactly the same. No two golf courses are ever the same. You never stop learning about the game, at any level. You can play golf until your dying day (in most cases). You don't need to be athletically inclined to be good at the game. Golf courses are the most beautiful parks in the world. Children who pick up the game benefit in countless ways, on and off the course. Parallels between golf and life are plentiful, you can learn a lot about your ...
