About me - Lynda Chitwood

About me

I am a 44 year old living in Riverside, CA. I am a So Cal girl, born and bred. Wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, in-law, outlaw, angel, devil....you name it, I've held the title. (Some worse!)

I have been creating stories both in my head and on paper since grade school. In the 5th grade, my best friend and I wrote a play called "Santa Gets Amnesia", which we directed for the entire school, starring our entire class. In Junior High, I wrote a lengthy soap opera using my classmates, teachers and friends as characters.

I've had no formal writing training, other than creative writing in high school, and my only actual paid published work was a joke for Readers Digest. ($300 is nuthin to sneeze at, huh?) I do, however, love to write, whether it's my sarcastic take on everyday life, or my 2 cents on social issues. I found this site quite by accident and at this writing, am very excited about the creative outlet it is providing to me.

Even when tattoos started to become mainstream and popular, I was still not interested in one. Not really my style, I thought. My daughter got one; it was cute, stars and dots, on her lower back. I began...
