Thank you for coming to my page. Let me first start out by saying that everything I write is in honor of my younger brother, SPC Jacob Barton, who was murdered in Iraq by one of his own sergeants on May 11th, 2009.
I am a previous armed forces member, and proud of it. I have 2 children who are still toddlers, and a husband who acts like one! I plan on writing books someday, but for right now, I plan on writing articles (maybe short stories) on here and learning, first.
I am only 23, but I know a surprising amount of information at my age (which I'm sure every 23 year old thinks that, huh?) and I have dealt with an amazing amount of grief, sadness, and anger in my life. I choose to not let it define me.
I live by 3 sayings.
1) "Why is there never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over?"
2) "Spend so much time improving yourself, your quality of life, and the way you treat others that you have no time to criticize."
3) I will always place the mission first. / I will never accept defeat. / I will never quit. / I will never leave a fallen comrade.
If you like what I sound like, or my writing style, then please, email me. I'm a friendly person.

Let me explain why I think this should be mandatory. 1 - Parents don't like to say no to their children. Sadly enough, this is the case. 100 years ago, parents had a different way of raising their kids, and that way included saying no to almost everything. These kids did not throw fits, they accepted it and behaved. As they grew older, they swore they would give their kids what they never got - which would be admirable if only in theory. The problem is...
