About me - Emily Mcbride

About me

I am 25 years old and from Vancouver, Canada. I have had a lifelong interest in writing and am finally starting to actively look for ways to develop it and hopefully, to someday make a living from it.

I love my hometown, but am swiftly becoming a continental butterfly... I have spent a year and a half each in Glasgow and Barcelona. The first experience infused me with a wish to keep traveling, the second with an obsession for learning languages (which is coming along, surely but irritatingly slowly). I am currently looking, and waiting, for my next hometown to present itself. While I watch and wait, I am working on a cheesy romance novel, and a less cheesy short story.

I like lunches and coffees and any excuse generally to eat and talk, reading books and more recently graphic novels, living in sunshine or curling up by the fire with a cup of tea. And I've also spelt my name wrong on Helium. It should be a capital B. One of these days I'll learn how to change it...
