About me - Julia Catherine Lee

About me

I am just a simple soul who enjoys life's simplest pleasures. I love to cook up spicy dishes and pair them with my favorite shiraz or riesling. I grew up on the island of Penang -fondly known as the "Pearl of The Orient" and "Gastronomie Capital of southeast Asia". The movie "Anna and The King", was filmed on the colorful island streets of Penang.

Photography, art and travel along California coast are my passions. I write when my creative juices beckon.

My favorite quotation:

"All things are possible until they are proved impossible - and even the impossible may only be so, as of now." Pearl S. Buck. (she was a very remarkable woman)
