About me - Naima Manal

About me

I'm an avid student of life and learning. Reading and writing go hand and hand within my daily routine. I have been a homeschooling mother for over 13 years, and I enjoy the responsibility of teaching.

I have a background in the sciences, and I hold a BS degree in Biology. Education, however, is the essence of what I do, and I find that I express my thoughts more creatively through the pen.

I have worked in a variety of educational and writing capacities, and I recently added writing to my work efforts. I enjoy writing about herbs, natural remedies, health care, family, children, healthy foods, organic gardening, and I guess possibly many other things that are interesting.

I enjoy contributing to the writing effort at Helium. It is certainly a creative venue for fostering creativity. My contributions will hopefully be insightful and written in a style that many may be able to benefit from.

Thank you, Helium, for this opportunity!

Briefly me

My passion is ...

being true and truthful, and being in the company of other kind and truthful people.

I know too much about ...

the fact that there is so much more to learn.

My parents always told me ...

to tell the truth, even if it's against you. Clean your room. Also, when you have a family, take better care of your children than yourself...it just doesn't look good when mom is dressed and pretty, while the children are scruffy (those are my words).

My childhood ambition ...

was to become a teacher...and a wife and mom. My family's childhood ambition for me was to be a doctor!

My favorite memory ...

is every happy moment in my life.

Why I write ...

to say something.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

beneficial knowledge that cultivates the character and the soul to become a better person.

My first job ...

was working as a camp counselor of 20 girls, 4 to 6 years old...whew!

My best moment ...

every happy one.

My inspiration ...

is my Lord's Mercy on everything in creation.

I hear you, But, then again, I don't. Why do I have to listen to you, As you babble? What's a squabble? Make sense, and stop talking, Because that's when your words have the most meaning. Speak, For what? Are you intending to make sense? The five senses - I can't see what you mean, I can't hear what you mean, I can't smell what you mean, I can't taste the essence of what you want to say, I can't touch the pith of your words, So, be quiet.
