Mr. Ruark is an award-winning advertising copywriter, an award-winning internationally exhibited photographer and an award-winning story teller. He is also an internationally published author whose magazine articles and short stories have appeared in the United States and Canada. He has been published in such magazines as PARABOLA, ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S MYSTERY MAGAZINE, MOTHER'S TODAY, AMTRAK EXPRESS, and CRUISING WORLD.
As an actor, he has appeared Off-Off Broadway, on TV in both the United States and Japan and on stage in many regional productions including the road show of "To Kill a Mockingbird.".
He taught college level and graduate level courses in Mass Communications at the New York Institute of Technology in New York City and acted as a substitute teacher for Region 15 in Western Connecticut.
Currently he resides in Maryland with his wife and works as a freelance writer and educator.
