My father used to make up topics when I was 6 and have me write about them. My interest in reading and writing grew from there intensely. I continued on my own through out school writing stories and poetry and sharing them in High School and creative writing classes. I was published in my hometown yearbook with a story about prejudice called "Tel Sweet Tel".In college I took a creative writing class and was always challenged by my teacher for more poetry and more writing. My Theology Professor wanted me to continue with a religion thesis "The Secularization of the City", but I dropped out. That was in 1968, but not before I got to work on a book with an Economist and Author from Arizona.
I continued to write poetry and stories after college my poetry was placed in a children's theatre production in 1973. I was married in 1976 and raised a beautiful family. One of my poems was published in a literary book when the children were young.I also helped my girlfriend with visits to schools and benefits with her trained dogs, Toby's Angels. We also raised kittens without mothers. In 1998 I wrote poetry on the web and also dabbled in art under the name PixieforU. There was a website that I wrote for that engaged the on line version of The White Wolf games. My poetry was also published on-line there. After that the web seemed to open a new world to me. I hosted on AOL server on Alternative Health, Depression and Smoking Cessation. They gave me my own byline on herbal remedies which lasted a year. Recently I was asked to present a poem in a book that a gentleman wrote in BC.
I am now 58 years old with an five children, four grandchildren and information regarding many subjects such as autism, mental disorders, epilepsy, diabetes, strokes, cancer and the dying, herbal remedies, how to raise kittens and puppies from birth and of course poetry and short stories. I hope I will be able to share some of my expertise with others.

When choosing your breed of dog, make sure you check into the background of the breed. Knowing whether the dog will be compatabile with children would be one thing to look for. For example, Rottweilers and Pitbulls caused sixty seven percent of dog related fatalities between 1979 and 1998 according to a VetMed Special Report printed nine years ago. Those two breeds would be ones you would want to be careful of not getting. If you have small children you may not want to choose a small breed like a chihauhau or a miniature pinscher as they are easier to injure, even with careful handeling.
